TWO UNDENIABLE PROOFS

There are two undeniable proofs that guarantee to us the fulfilment of every promise God has made to us. This guarantee is your security. It provides assurance that your vision will become reality. This guarantee assures that you cross over to claim your spiritual inheritance. Hebrews 6:13-20

Here are the two assurances we are given that God’s promises will be fulfilled:

First: God swears by Himself.

For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. (Hebrews 6:13-14)

When God swore by Himself, in essence He was saying, “I will cease to be God if I do not fulfill My promise!” The promises of God are safe, secure, and sealed because they are made on the basis of Himself, that is, His unfailing record.

Second: He seals His promises with an oath.

In addition to swearing by Himself, God seals His promises with an oath:

For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath… (Hebrews 6:16 17)

You can trust God’s promises because they are sealed by His sacred oath. He swears by it, and He does not lie! He is not a man that He should lie. It is impossible for God to lie.

God made promises to Abraham and his heirs — which you and I are — then He sealed the promises with two undeniable proofs: Himself and His oath…

That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us. (Hebrews 6:18)

God provided two immutable proofs to end all doubt, fear, and uncertainty. The synonyms that the thesaurus gives for the word “immutable” are “abiding, changeless, consistent, constant, enduring, ceaseless, continual, endless, permanent, stable, unchanging, unalterable, and eternal.”

God’s promises are abiding. They are changeless and consistent. They are constant, enduring, ceaseless, continual, lasting, permanent, stable, unchanging, unalterable — they are eternal! Another synonym given for “immutable” is “dateless.” Unlike many so-called guarantees, there is no expiration date. There are no exclusions, no loop-holes.

Make this declaration:

God has sworn by Himself and sealed His Word with an oath. His promises to me will be fulfilled.
