Exercise Your Power

Exercise Your Power

Many believers have allowed their hearts to become hardened through sin because they have placed their confidence in man and material possessions. Scripture warns that in the last days this will happen: “…because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12, NAS); that “men shall be lovers of their own selves” (2 Timothy 3:2); and that men will be “lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God” (2 Timothy 3:4). Their faith has been shaken because it has not been rooted daily in the unshakable, irrefutable, impregnable Word of God.

Many fail to recognize that a key strategy of Satan is to gradually weaken the Church through lies and deceptions until sin stagnates and hardens the heart of the believer.

To avoid this process, you must seek God daily because it is in your daily walk that you are fortified by the Word of God:

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end; While it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. (Hebrews 3:14-15)

For thousands of years, the devil has carefully disguised himself. He is an imposter, and one of his strategies is to deceive. Throughout the ages, Satan’s objective has been to hinder man from knowing the truth through his deceptions.

The devil uses two basic strategies to deceive the children of God: He perverts the truth, and he lures us into sin. His non-changing strategy is to accuse, slander, act as adversary, deceive, tempt, destroy, and lie in order to bring down the Body of Christ.

Jesus knew and recognized the enemy’s strategies. He never feared to address him directly as the demon of darkness and destruction. Jesus was never taken by surprise.

Through the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, He took authority over Satan, addressed him, rebuked him, and cast him out.

The Church of Jesus Christ should never be reluctant to discuss the devil or speak directly to him because he is a real being. His strategies are real. His power is real, but the power within you is greater than Satan’s power.

Exercise that power in your life as you face the challenges of today!

Make this declaration:

As I face the challenges of my life today, I will exercise the power God has given me over all of the power of the enemy.
