From the time Israel became a nation, God expressed His desire to bless His people. He declared:

Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the Lord thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. (Deuteronomy 7:12-13)

Does this sound like a God who wants His people to live in poverty? No! It is God’s plan for you to have sufficiency in every area of your life — and that includes finances:

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)

God said that His people will…“not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied” (Psalm 37:19).

As a born-again, Spirit-filled believer, you are no longer under Satan’s control. He is not in control of your life or your finances.

You are an heir of God’s promises. In the natural world, when someone is named as an heir, certain conditions are usually set forth which must be met in order for the inheritance to be claimed. The same is true in the Spirit world. Your finances won’t just automatically be blessed. God has certain conditions that must be met in order to receive the blessing:

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee. (Deuteronomy 28:1,8,11)

You cannot walk in disobedience and expect God to bless you. God’s blessings are commanded upon you when you are obedient to His Word — all of His Word — including biblical commands concerning finances.

Make this declaration:

I will walk in obedience to God and He will bless me financially and in every area of my life.
