IS YOUR GIVING WORKING?

GRACE & TRUTH

Topic: IS YOUR GIVING WORKING?

“Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and MULTIPLY YOUR
SEED SOWN, and increase the fruits of your righteousness” 2 Corinthians 9:10

Some Christians give freely and with a joyous heart. These people receive more than they give, some a
30 fold, others a 60 fold, and others a 100 fold of what they sowed. God always multiplies their seed
sown.

Others give grudgingly. A sense of desperation squeezes their giving out of them and there is a sense of “loss” associated with their giving. “Well, let me try this sowing thing out, if I loss I loss.” IS YOUR GIVING WORKING?

Still others do not sow at all, completely ruled by the lie Satan has sold to them that they can never
benefit from their giving. He has told them that this part of scripture on sowing and reaping isn’t for
them; and that any preacher who talks about giving as a channel of receiving from the Lord isn’t from
God, and they’ve believed him. So they don’t give for fear that they will lose their money or whatever it
is they’re prompted to give.

These people don’t live by faith, they live in fear. They are afraid of lack. They are afraid God may just
not keep His word. They don’t like to admit it but it is the truth.

Don’t you ever wonder why some people don’t seem to get anything from their giving while others
seem to always get it right? The key is giving by faith with a cheerful heart. Giving out of fear, worry, or
unbelief doesn’t result in receiving.

It is the person who sows with his eyes on the desired harvest that gets the results, not the one who
sows with his eyes on his needs. Give big and with faith behind your seed and you will never regret. (Psalm 126:6). I don’t remember the last time I sowed without receiving my harvest. This principle always works!

CONFESSION

I believe the word of God concerning giving and receiving. I know that before I can do any receiving, I
must give. I receive more than what I give, for God always multiplies my seed sown. Hallelujah!
