More Steps To Freedom

We are meditating and acting upon six important steps to free us from the bondage and deception of Satan. The first step was to recognize the power of confession

Second, know who really loves you. People are so blinded by Satan that they think Satan is the one who loves them and has their happiness at heart. They think he can give them a good time with no chafing restrictions. In this blinded condition they believe God is a hard taskmaster who wants to deprive them of joy and pleasure.

In reality, it is Satan who destroys and brings unhappiness and grief, while communion with God brings joy and happiness.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

God does not act out of hatred or anger because of our sin, but out of great love and compassion in order that we might receive life more abundantly. To those who accept Christ into their lives, God’s promises are for peace, love, joy, prosperity, and health — all that is good.

He promises the restoration of that which Satan has destroyed. In Christ, communion between God and man is restored. The precious promise of Jesus is, “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20) and “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5). The Psalmist says that God is “a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

Third, break sins’ barriers. Receive and accept the work of atonement that Jesus accomplished for us by His death on the cross. If you are not a saved, born-again Christian, you can bow your head right where you are and invite Jesus Christ into your heart right now:

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. (John 1:12)

The work is done in your heart and in your mind through prayer as you turn your life over to God. This is a business transaction, so to speak, between you and God. You turn your sins over to God and He takes them.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:6)

Whether you are unsaved, a new Christian, or a Christian for many years, be sure to make today’s declaration…

Make this declaration:

I am repenting of my sins and God is giving me the power to live as His child.
