The Harvest Time Cycle

THE HARVEST TIME CYCLE

When Israel entered Canaan, God promised them an abundant harvest. The word harvest comes from a Greek Word therismos. This means to reap and refers to the act of harvesting. In biblical days, the harvest varied according to fluctuating conditions but usually occurred during the middle of the year. Harvest time was a festive time. There was feasting and rejoicing over God’s abundance.

THE HARVEST TIME CYCLE

Many people equate the term “harvest time” with the harvest of lost souls throughout the world, but it is much more than that. The end-time, harvest time cycle is a climactic era during which all the teaching God has given will be translated into dynamic action by God’s people. When Israel entered their Promised Land, God set in motion a divine cycle of sowing and reaping. This natural cycle of harvest can be applied spiritually to every area of life — including your finances. Just as God provided for Israel, He wants to provide for you.

God uses the harvest analogy frequently in Scripture because the people of Israel had an agrarian economy. They were farmers, sowers and reapers. They understood the principles of harvest in the natural world, so God used this natural knowledge to draw dynamic parallels which they could understand and apply in the spiritual world.

Strategies are principles, methods, and plans that enable you to reach a certain goal. Strategies for spiritual harvest are revealed in God’s Word as natural principles of harvest which parallel spiritual truths.

God wants you to experience abundance in every area of your life, but many people are still struggling to bring in their financial harvest. God wants you to experience complete and total restoration:

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm… (Joel 2:25)

God instituted the basic law of perpetual harvest at the beginning of time. This is the law of sowing and reaping, and as long as the earth remains, this law will be in effect:

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. (Genesis 8:22)

The seeds for natural, as well as spiritual harvest, must be sown during seed time and harvested during harvest time. The key to the whole process is spiritual timing. Applied in the financial realm, this means that when you understand and get plugged into God’s cycle of sowing and reaping, you will experience a perpetual financial harvest.

Make this declaration:

I am getting plugged into God’s cycle of sowing and reaping. I will experience a perpetual financial harvest.
