A REFLECTION OF GOD’S GLORY

A REFLECTION OF GOD’S GLORY

Key verse:

In the final hours of His life on this earth, Jesus prayed…

…”Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.” (John 17:1-5)

Jesus possessed God’s glory before the world began. He glorified God in His ministry on earth and God revealed His glory in and through Him. Now, just before the end of His time on earth, Jesus wanted to give His disciples the same glory that He possessed: “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them” (John 17:22). The word “glory” as used here is Doxa, meaning “all that I am and all that I have!” A REFLECTION OF GOD’S GLORY

Jesus gave us all that He is, all that He possesses…
…He gave us the Father.
…He gave us the Holy Spirit.
…He gave us Himself.
…He gave us the ability to overcome sin.
…He gave us authority over the enemy.
…He gave us the power to heal the sick and cast out demons.
…All that He is, all that He has — He gave to us!

We are a work in process. The glory of God is in the process of being manifested in us:

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

We are being changed. We are going to a new level of God’s glory. We are wading deeper into the River of God. Our lives are becoming a reflection of God’s glory — all that He is, all that He possesses. A REFLECTION OF GOD’S GLORY

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. (2 Corinthians 4:7)

Make this declaration:

I am a work in progress. The glory of God is in the process of being manifested in me
