Accompanied By His Presence

Accompanied By God’s Presence

When God raised up the nation of Israel, there was something different about them and that was the presence of God! The heathen world didn’t have it, but they sure recognized it. They knew that there was something about Israel that set them apart and made them different.

When Israel was preparing to cross the border into their promised land, the harlot Rahab told them:

…I know that the Lord hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.

And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the Lord your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath. (Joshua 2:9-11)

Rahab said, “We heard what God did for you. We know His presence is with you and our hearts melted with fear because we know the Lord is your God!”

Friend, you may be going through something in your own life right now that seems like an impossible situation. Maybe the odds are stacked against you, you feel overwhelmed, and in the natural it seems as if there is no way you can win.

Have you ever stopped to think that maybe this is God’s plan? Perhaps you are getting ready to experience the biggest victory of your life — just when you think you are facing your greatest defeat! Don’t be afraid of the odds! God’s people have been defying the odds down through the centuries!

God is not indiscriminately handing out assignments in His army today. He is seeking men and women of valor, men and women of courage who can stand up to the enemy and say, “God made me a promise that His presence would go with me. I’m going to win this battle!”

When you advance into battle accompanied by the presence of God, no enemy can stand against you. Their hearts will melt, their courage will fail, their strategies will be defeated.

Make this declaration:

When I advance into battle accompanied by the presence of God, no enemy can stand against me. Their hearts will melt, their courage will fail, their strategies will be defeated.
